A. A. Trip deposit date refers to the first day that any money was paid for any part of your covered travel arrangements. This includes any monies paid to a travel agent, tour operator, or arrangements purchased directly by the traveler.
Q. What if my trip cost is zero?
A. If you do not have any prepaid, non-refundable expenses you are still eligible to purchase a plan by entering zero in the trip cost field.
Q. What's included in trip cost?
A. Trip Cost refers to the total prepaid and non-refundable expenses already submitted toward the trip regardless of who booked the arrangements. This does not include estimated or anticipated costs that have not yet been paid.
Q. How do I select a state if my travelers live in multiple states?
A. Please select the state for the primary insured.
Q. I put in a $ sign in the Trip Cost field and got an error. Why?
A. To receive a quote, please do not add a dollar symbol. The default on our website is U.S. dollars.
Q. I'm traveling to multiple destinations. What destination do I list?
A. If your trip includes multiple destinations please select the destination where you plan to spend the largest amount of time. For Collision Damage Coverage, please select the country where you plan to rent your vehicle.
Q. Why can't I add the "Cancel for Any Reason," "Cancel for Work Reasons," or "Coverage for Terrorism, Financial Default, Pre-Ex" optional coverages to my quote?
A. These premium protection options are only available on quotes where the initial deposit date is within 15 days of the policy purchase date.
