Emergency Evacuation and Ancillary Evacuation Benefits

Emergency Evacuation

No one wants to think of the worst-case scenarios before their vacation, but if you need it, you’ll be glad to have the coverage. That’s why there’s Emergency Evacuation coverage with Travel Guard.

What is Emergency Evacuation coverage?

An injury or illness on vacation may require you to have special accommodations in order to return home or to get to adequate medical care. Travel Guard’s Emergency Evacuation benefit may provide you with coverage for the costs of those arrangements, and specialized medical representatives can help to coordinate your transportation with the appropriate accommodations. Those accommodations could include private charter, helicopter transfer, business class seat, full recline seat, medical escort and more.

How do I use Emergency Evacuation coverage?

Once a Physician determines you’ll need special arrangements to get home or obtain adequate medical care, it’s important to contact Travel Guard as soon as possible. Travel Guard will assist with setting up any transportation that is needed and help ensure it meets the medical requirements outlined by the Physician.

When you’re looking at travel insurance plans, it’s important to understand what you are purchasing. The best way to do this is to read over the policy of insurance.

Ancillary Evacuation Benefits

Reviews and Testimonials

I took a cruise from Portsmouth to Spain. Soon after departure I took ill and was required to be put ashore at the first port which was Bordeaux, France. I was suffering from dehydration and possibly a virus and really can’t recall details except that I was placed in a French hospital to fend for myself. How I contacted Travel Guard I do not recall but after only six days in the hospital Travel Guard made all arrangements for me to be returned to my home in New York and consequently made sure that all losses incurred by the disruptions to my planned vacation were covered after I filed a claim. This is the first time that I have had to call upon travel insurance plan coverage on holiday, but I know that I shall never ever travel in the future without Travel Guard by my side. A nightmare reduced to an unpleasant dream.
